Just say no to palm oil

Indonesia and Malaysia produce 85 % of the world palm oil (in a lot of our food). As demand on palm oil grows fast, rain forest desappears fast. In the last 50 years, coorporate and local producers destroyed 72 % of ancient indonesian forest, replaced by plam tree plantations. It is like a soccer field of forest desappearing every 10 seconds. Fight against these destructions (forest, orang-utans,...) by reading labels on food packages before buying. If your favorite cracker containt palm oil, leave them on the shelf. It is an interesting and complicated game. An alternative is organically grown palm oil. This one respects Nature when produced.
